What do the future hold for beluga whales?

There is a unique marine habitat preserve established in Iceland as seen in the above video, however it is ironic as Iceland has not signed the whaling ban, and remains with Japan and Norway to do so. Indigenous peoples of the United States and Canada also continue to hunt whale. There are specific areas where Beluga are going extinct but planet wide they are surviving and if whaling is further reduced it will help to stabilize their populations.
